Relaxation, romance, adventure, or fun for the whole family, there is always plenty to see and do on Bribie Island.
Duck over the esplanade and feel the soft sand between your toes in the soft sands of Bongaree and surrounding passage beaches. A popular spot for families with young children, the waters are often very calm and not too deep.
Located along beach, Bongaree Jetty is a popular spot to cast in a line or bomb dive into the passage waters.
A fishing delight, Pumicestone Passage is also a popular spot for those that love water sports. From water-skiing, kite surfing, jet skiing and kayaking, there’s something for everyone. If you don’t own your own boat or kayak, Bribie Island has a number of local hire vendors that can get you out on the water.
Pumicestone Passage foreshore
Located along Pumicestone Passage foreshore is a number of BBQ’s, picnic tables and playgrounds that line the foreshore. This is also the perfect spot to take in the spectacular sunset.
Bribie Island National Park
Covering a significant portion of the island is the Bribie Island National Park, a beautiful spot to explore both inland and beachside. The park is only suitable for 4WD vehicles and if you intend to drive on the beach, ensure you have purchased the correct permits before starting on your journey
